माझा मुलगा – नाव अफाक शाह याला साधारणपणे ५ ते १० दिवसांपासून दोन्ही पायांमध्ये आणि संपूर्ण शरीरात असह्य वेदना होत होत्या! त्याचे चालणे जवळपास बंद झाले होते! आधी अकोल्यातील तज्ज्ञ डॉक्टर, बरेच हॉस्पिटल आणि विविध उपचार प्रयत्नानंतर आम्हाला प्रसिध्द अर्थोपेडिक सर्जन डॉ. विशाल चांडक यांच्याबद्दल समजले. केपॉन्ड हॉस्पिटल मध्ये डॉ. चांडक सरांच्या सूचनांनुसार उपचार सुरु झाले आणि तब्बल दोनच दिवसात अफाकचा त्रास कमी होऊ लागला. वेदना काही जाईना, म्हणून तात्काळ एम. आर. आय. स्कॅन डॉक्टरांनी करायला सांगितला व उपचाराची दिशा बदलली. १५ दिवसांपासून एखाद्या मासोळी सारखा तडफडणारा माझा मुलगा ३ दिवसात बरा होताना मला दिसत होता. देवाच्या कृपेने व डॉ. विशाल चांडक आणि त्यांच्या सहकाऱ्यांच्या शर्थीच्या प्रयत्नाने माझा मुलगा उठून बसायला लागला! गगनात न मावेसा माझा आनंद घरच्यांना सांगे पर्येंत अफाक चालू सुद्धा लागला होता! मला असे वाटते की देवाने माझी प्रार्थना मंजूर करून मला डॉ. विशाल चांडक सरांकडे पाठवले!

डॉ चांडक यांची रुग्णांप्रती असलेली आपुलकीची भावना, त्यांची संपूर्ण टीम, त्यांचा नर्सिंग स्टाफ आणि केपॉन्ड हॉस्पिटल मध्ये असलेल्या सर्व सोई व सुविधा अनुभवल्या नंतर मी महाराष्ट्रामधील सर्व जनतेला नम्र विनंती करतो की ज्यांनाही अर्थोपेडिक प्रकारचें आजार असतील आणि त्यांना बेस्ट ट्रीटमेंट पाहिजे असेल त्यांनी एकदा तरी केपॉन्ड हॉस्पिटलला जरूर भेट द्यावी!
